I loved the book. It gave the paths and teachings of different philosophers. It was interesting to see how they all
used different methods to try understand our universe of mind,matter,conscious,perception,volition,senses,emptiness,etc...
It's a must read for anyone interested in philosophy.
The analysis made of major aspects of the fields handled is mercifully to the point. I've examined the problem of universals as presented in the text. It is very clear. The political philosophies of Hobbes and Locke are introduced very clearly too.
The glaring error involves the treatment of Kant's perception of metaphysics - I found it utterly misleading. Other than that, the elimination of obvious typos could improve the general presentation of the book.
These are cheap books. This books are written by a highly enthusiastic philosophy lover, who has a good sense of getting a business going, and is very fond of the word 'fundamental'. He also thinks highly of Ayn Rand, whoever that may be. I also sense he dislikes socialism of any kind, and I fully agree, beware of communism.
